Mr Grigorios P. Katsoulis is an experienced Senaior Process Engineer having joined Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries since 2007 monitoring CDU, HPU, Jet Merox, FCC and MHC Operations, yet with a good understanding of the total refinery block. He has undertaken the position of Senior Process engineer in the Refinery’s Technical Services Section for the past 2 years, being familiar with designing and troubleshooting equipment, detail engineering of units, HazOp leading, technical evaluations, steady and dynamic simulations via Hysys, Petrosim In the past has served the refinery in the positions of MHC, CDU & HPU as a Production Engineer for 3 years and the Technical Services Section as Process Engineer for 5.5 years. Mr Katsoulis holds and MsC in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, MPhil in Advanced Chemical Engineering from the co-program of University of Cambridge & MIT USA and an MBA from the National Technical University of Athens. He is visitor lecturer since 2015 in the Chemical Enginnering School , the National Technical University of Athens with a scope of introducing senior students in the field of Inherently safe design.

Massimo Capra is the manager of Aggreko Process Services in Europe, supporting Russia and the Middle East’s refining and petrochemical sectors. He has 31 years experience in the refining and chemical process industry as process and project engineering manager for companies including AGIP, Foster Wheeler Italiana, Tecnimont, Aramco Overseas Company, and as a freelance consultant. He worked as Process Technologist and Team Leader at OPCW, conducting more than 150 process inspections in chemical facilities. Massimo earned a MS in Chemical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (IT), PGC in Project Management from University of Wales (UK), MBA from Robert Kennedy College (CH), 6 Sigma Black Belt from BMGI (USA) and ISO9001 Lead Assessor cert. from SGS (NL)

Francis Humblot was born in France in 1968.

He became a Chemical Engineer in 1991 and received his Ph.D degree in 1995 from the University of Lyon in France, working with Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP), in heterogeneous catalysis applied to catalytic isobutene dehydrogenation on highly selective platinium-tin catalyst.

He joined Arkema in 1997 and has almost 20 years’ experience in sulfur chemicals and their applications. In 1997, he first took the responsibility of research and development projects for sulfur chemicals in refining and petrochemistry until 2006. During this period, he developed an application laboratory, implementing new steamcracker and hydrotreating unit pilots at the Lacq research centre, in France. He managed R&D collaboration projects with Technip, Total, Axens… Since 2006, he has been in charge of the global technical support for dimethyldisulfide  (DMDS) clients and more particularly, has developed the service for hydrotreating catalyst sulfiding and DMDS injection called Carelflex.

I have been working in TUPRAS Refineries and Headquarters for 18 years.  I have started as a operational engineer in TUPRAS Izmit Refinery , after  this 3 years operational   experience, I had  15 year  experience on process, problem solving, troubleshooting, unit/process design, investment, revamp, capacity expansion and all of related activities.( Project  leadership, Initial S/U, Test-Run, Normal operation,  S/U, S/D etc..)  Nowadays, I am working at TUPRAS Headquarters as Process Superintendent responsible for   Unifiner, Reformer, Platformer, Isomerization and Benzene saturation processes for four TUPRAS Refineries.   I have also worked on a variety of different units/processes, Crude Oil, Hydroprocessing , Desulfurization/U LSD, Kerosene Treating, Caustic Neutralization, ARU, SRU, SWTU  etc..   These experiences from my past 18 years as process specialist, I hope to be able to help the new refining engineers with just a few years’ experience as.

Reinder van Bruggen joined Eurecat France in 2003 as Area Sales Manager and is currently Totsucat Product Manager. Previously employed by ExxonMobil in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, where he worked in several positions as Process Engineer and Process Engineering team leader from 1996 to 2003, he holds an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Twente University of Technology, The Netherlands.
