Senior Technical Service Engineer
Tom Ventham is currently an Account Manager for Johnson Matthey Oil & Gas division. He previously held the position of Senior Technical Service Engineer for Intercat; a company whose ownership passed to Johnson Matthey.
The position of Senior Technical Service Engineer involves supporting refiners using, or intending to use, Intercat’s range of FCC additives as well as offering practical guidance to help the refiner develop pragmatic solutions to the wide-range of increasingly complex challenges facing them today.
Tom has held this position with Intercat-JM since 2010, supporting refineries mainly in Europe but also in Russia, South Africa Australia, India and south-east Asia.
As Account Manager, Tom is the commercial responsible for the entire portfolio of Johnson Matthey refinery catalysts & services.
Before joining Intercat, Tom worked for MW Kellogg Ltd. (now KBR), London and spent time working at the Murco Milford Haven refinery, UK holding various positions including FCC process engineer, gaining significant FCC operating experience.
Tom holds an upper second class Masters of Engineer Degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, University of London and is a Chartered Engineer of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE).
