Mohamed Ben-Daya

Professor of Industrial Engineering & Operations Research

Mohamed Ben-Daya is a Professor in the Department of Systems Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.  He received his MS and PhD in Operations Research from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA.  His research interests are in the areas of production planning and scheduling, maintenance, quality control, and supply chain management.  He teaches course in the areas of facilities planning, Production and inventory control, scheduling, Quality control, Maintenance and reliability engineering and supply chain management. He is the Associate Editor of the Journal of Quality in Maintenance Engineering and on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Logistics.  He has published over 90 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings.  He edited several books on Maintenance Management and Engineering. His latest book on Introduction to Maintenance Engineering is under press with Wiley and is expected to be available by the end of 2015 early 2016.
